AT&T UNIX PC Ask Me About The Connection Large Vintage Pinback Button #BB1805

I've been watching this button on eBay since at least September 9, 2015.  Well, miracles never cease, it sold just a few days ago, February 16, 2019.  Wow!  That was a tough sell.  But, I tip my had to the seller...for pure perseverance!

Expansion Card Slots - AT&T Unix PC

If you are listing an AT&T Unix PC on eBay, Facebook Marketplace, CraigsList, etc., you may hear from me asking about adding pictures to your auction/listing to show the expansion card slots.

A lot of people miss taking pictures of these, because they are hidden relatively out of sight.

However, with my collection of UNIX PCs, what is (or is not) in these expansion card slots is what I use to decide how much money I will bid/pay for the machine you may be selling.

So, to help, the below pictures should show exactly where these 3 expansion slots are located on all AT&T UNIX PCs (And Convergent Technologies S/50s)

Thank you so kindly for your help in providing these.

Best Always,
Forgotten Machines

UNIX PC: Game of Larn

Has anyone else ever seen this game on a UNIX PC?
Did this ever come with the factory software package?
If not, where would this machine have acquired such a luxury?

AT&T UNIX PC Keyboard Signal Decoding

Here is the proprietary (and rather rare) UNIX PC keyboard:

The keyboard is manufactured by CORTRON.
Part No. 25-500257
Cust No. D-02-00092-00

Since the keyboards themselves can be SO expensive:

Using this method:

Let's decode all keys on the proprietary UNIX PC Keyboard.

VERY good info on comp.sys.3b1 on hacking the keyboard hardware.

And Chris Smith has found the pinout from the Reference Manual.

Plug Configuration:

  5 6 7 8
  : : : :
  1 2 3 4

KBDTXD     --JK-7
GROUND     --JK-1,2,3
+5V        --JK-4,8
KBDRST     --JK-5
KBDRD      --JK-6
Chassis Ground to  JK-shield

with "JK" being the jack on the system board into which the keyboard
plugs.

I inquired over at Deskthority.net

DoN Nichols shares golden information on comp.sys.3b1 about how to reverse engineer these keyboard signals:

And today, Cpro provided this golden URL:  https://peterbjornx.nl/vtkbd/

Now, notice that this Tektronix keyboard seems to have the same proprietary plug end as the Unix PC's keyboard.  It doesn't have the right-angle end where the cable comes out of the connector housing, but the physical connector is the same.  Is this a coincidence?

UNIX PC Model 7300 Service Manual ST-2129-16 - EUC

So, who bought this?  Will they archive it and make it available?

Or do we have it already in the physical or online archives?
